8 Development of Strategies
A session in which the processes by which organisations can assess strategic options and link operations strategy to marketing strategy and business policy to formulate an operations strategy will be considered.
Academic literature on strategic management and business policy has idenitified the importance of aligning overall policy with operations strategy. This session covers two techniques used to ensure this alignment: Hoshin Kanri and the Balanced Scorecard.
